Dragging a stone into the futureIn rural areas, it was a widespread tradition to use empty flour or potato sacks on one’s head to protect oneself from coal dust or storms. In this practice, the empty sack on the head was used to drag a stone, projecting its sound forward.Today, with science and artificial intelligence, we believe we can anticipate problems and solve them before they occur, but problems aren’t in the future; they haunt the present, carrying the full weight of the past.
