Brandenburgoko Atea/Puerta de Brandenburgo/Branderburg Gate (1989-1990)

Atea adreiluzko horma batez itsututa dago, eta begi parean zulo bat du, behatxulo bat bezala.
Bisitariak, zulotik hurbildu eta begiratzen duenean, bere burua ikusten du atzetik.
Bideo-zirkuitu itxia da, erakusketa-aretoaren hasieran dagoen kamera baten irudia hartzen du eta horman dagoen zuloaren atzean dagoen monitore batean bistaratzen du.

Brandenburgoko Atea / Puerta de Brandenburgo / Branderburg Gate (1989-1990)

Puerta cegada por un muro de ladrillo, con un agujero a la altura de los ojos como mirilla.

La persona visitante cuando se acerca y mira por el agujero se ve a si mismo por detrás.

Se trata de un circuito cerrado de video que capta la imagen de una cámara situada al comienzo de la sala expositiva y lo visualiza en un monitor situado detrás del agujero que hay en el muro.

A door blocked by a brick wall, with a hole at eye level serving as a peephole.

When visitors approach and look through the hole, they see themselves behind them.

This is a closed-circuit video system that captures the image from a camera located at the beginning of the exhibition hall and displays it on a monitor located behind the hole in the wall.

Mercurioren Atea/ Puerta de Mercurio (1990)

Ate baten zuloa zabalik eta orririk gabe uzten duen kartoizko kutxak dituen horma baten eraikuntza da.

Bisitariak, pasaeran, danbateko baten hotsa entzuten du haren atzean.

Obra hau Basauriko Kultur Etxean eta Donostiako ARTELEKUn aurkeztu zen.

Se trata de una construcción de un muro con cajas de cartón que dejan el hueco de una puerta abierta y sin hoja.

El visitante al pasar oye el estruendo de un portazo tras el.

Esta obra se presentó en el Aula de cultura de Basauri y en ARTELEKU en Donostia.

This is a wall constructed from cardboard boxes, leaving the space of an open, blank door.

A visitor passes by and hears the sound of a door slamming behind them.

This work was presented at the Basauri Cultural Center and at ARTELEKU in San Sebastián.

Haizagailu batek maindirea mugitzen du eta irudi mugikorraren ilusioa alderantzikatzen du.
Proiektoreak argi zuria baino ez du igortzen, eta pantailaren euskarria mugitzen da.

Un ventilador mueve la sábana e invierte la ilusión de la imagen movil.

El proyector solo emite luz blanca siendo el soporte de la pantalla la que se mueve.

Projection on a Moving Sheet-Screen (1990)

A fan moves the sheet and reverses the illusion of a moving image.

The projector emits only white light, with the screen support itself moving.
